This Months Great Podcast

Rev 3:20 “Behold, I stand at the door and knock.

If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me“

As we step into the month of April—a season where new life begins to bloom—we are reminded of a powerful image given to us in Scripture: Jesus standing at the door, knocking. Not kicking it in. Not forcing His way inside. But knocking. That simple act reveals so much about the heart of our Savior. He is close. He is present. And He is patiently waiting. Revelation 3:20 paints a personal picture—not of a distant God, but of a Savior who desires fellowship. He stands at the door of our hearts, our homes, our lives… knocking, waiting for an invitation. How many times have we been too busy to answer? Too distracted by the noise of life? Too burdened by worry, regret, or fear? Yet still… He knocks. April often brings thoughts of renewal, and there is no greater renewal than opening the door to Jesus. When we do, He promises to come in, to sit with us, to commune with us. That means peace for our storms, strength for our journey, and hope for the road ahead. In John 10:9, Jesus said, “I am the door.” Not only is He knocking at our door—He is the door to salvation, to purpose, to eternal life For those of us traveling the highways, working long hours, or simply navigating life’s challenges, it’s easy to feel alone. But you are not alone. The Lord is closer than you think—right at the door. The question isn’t whether He’s knocking… The question is: will we open it? This month, I encourage you to pause, even in the middle of your busy schedule, and listen. Take a moment at a rest stop, in your truck, at your kitchen table—wherever you are—and open that door. Let Him in.

March Madness at Lonesome Road Ministries

While many think of brackets and basketball this time of year, “March Madness” for Lonesome Road Ministries means something a little different—it means ministry in motion at the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Kentucky.

Each year, nearly 60,000 people walk through those doors—and we are blessed to be right there in the middle of it, sharing the Gospel one conversation at a time. Through your faithful support, we’re able to give away approximately 3,000 CDs and over 6,000 podcast cards, reaching drivers and families from all across America. Seeds are planted, lives are touched, and hearts are encouraged—all because you help make it possible. But as with everything, the cost of ministry continues to rise. Expenses for our booth, lodging, travel, and materials increase each year. Yet even in the face of those challenges, God continues to provide—often through people just like you. We want to take a moment to simply say… Thank You. Thank you for believing in this ministry. Thank you for standing with us. Thank you for helping us reach the highways and byways with the message of Jesus Christ. Every CD handed out… Every card placed in a driver’s hand… Every conversation at that booth… —it all happens because of your generosity and prayers.

As we press forward, we ask you to continue praying for this outreach—that lives would be changed, that hearts would be opened, and that Jesus would be lifted up in all we do. Together, we’re making a difference—one mile, one message, one soul at a time. A message from one of the web editors.

We have some changes coming to the Lonesome Road Website. We are moving from one web server to another web server. Maybe two web servers. Cost to is a factor, as Gary mentioned above. You will soon see a new and improved Lonesome Road and Channel 21 website, thanks to Roger Barkley Jr. Saving Ministry resources and yet providing great digital content is what I am about. All in the intent to share the GOSPEL to the whole world.

Hang in here with us as we make the transition.
